About Dr. P. Albert Chan
Dr. P. Albert Chan, cardiologist and author of Everything About Happy Longevity, Evidence-based Medicine, was born in Hong Kong in 1956.
In 1977, Dr. Chan moved to New York where he earned a BA from Binghamton University followed by an MD from New York University School of Medicine. He underwent his cardiology training at University of Pennsylvania. In 1997, Dr. Chan moved to Singapore for 10 years, where he trained cardiologists in a public hospital before starting a private practice. After his time in Singapore, Dr. Chan continued practicing in Shanghai for five years before returning to New York, where he presently lives with his family. His 15 years in Asia broadened his knowledge of medicine and sparked his passion for global practices that benefit longevity and happiness using a combination of eastern and western methods. Dr. Chan has held countless leadership positions in the medical field. Some current and recent positions include: Cardiologist Consultant at New York Presbyterian Hospital as well as Senior Asian Market Advisor in the Weill Cornell Medical School, Principal of RevaLab medical investment firm and Chairman at AMPAC Medical Consultants in both the US and Singapore. Dr. Chan is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Before writing his own book on health, Dr. Chan was the Chief Editor of the Shanghai Healthcare Services Guide.
